Miss Leona Wilson

Wow. Three Years. How fast has that gone? In case you don’t know what I’m on about’…University has come to an end, well all the official part of it. I’m still doing stuff in conjunction with it for a few weeks but my life as a student is basically done!

It’s gone so fast and I must say I’ve had a great time and my course was brilliant. But, on to new things now!

My near-to-last weekend at IKEA was OK too. Not too busy but busy enough to not be boring. I need to get a few hours in the new store car before I leave anyway. It’s some Honda Civic hybrid thing, so it probably runs on cucumbers or something.

On Saturday evening I popped into Batley to wish Laura a Happy Birthday even though it was two days previous, I even bought her and her friend’s a bottle of wine – how nice am I? I also had a chat with Gill!

Sunday evening saw Leona and I ‘working’ in the rain. Basically, I was helping her with her photography coursework and it just happened to be raining too! Nice… It was nice however, to see Miss Leona Wilson.

Today I started editing the Trivium footage I shot at St George’s Hall in Bradford. I also formed a production company…not officially though.

Oh and listen to the Madina Lake album, its pretty awesome!

PS – Happy Birthday Marianne.
PPS – Just seen ‘28 Weeks Later’ – pretty good!

St George’s Hall.

Woah I’m tired. Well my arms are anyway. Yesterday was Trivium’s Bradford, St George’s Hall show and me and a a few friends officially filmed it and it was a fantastic experience.

Roles:

Myself, Producer.
Dave Robison, Director.
Brian Outlaw, Stills
Mat Oveton, Camera Chief.
Tom Noise, ProTools recorder/engineer.

Everyone apart from Tom and Brian were camera operators. We rolled in at 9am and left around 12am, a seriously long day but so worth the while. I’m anticipating viewing the footage as is Trivium’s manager, Justin Arcangel.

Brian took loads of photos, I think over 500 so I hope they came out well.

Keep your eye on YouTube/Flickr. Any videos/photos of the St George’s gig I should be on as I was in the pit at the front of the gig, in front of the barrier obviously. You might also see Dave on the stage.

Previous to the gig my team accidentally bumped into the whole Trivium production crew which was actually beneficial. Basically we had to record the sound in a different way so Tom had to dash to Leeds to hire additional kit. Great.

Just before going the impromptu production meeting Chris and I had been to Morley. Basically for a laugh, but really to see if there was any decent stuff in the cheap shop the town has to offer. There was a horde of Spiderman and Superman stuff so Joe, Matt – get yourselves to Morley A SEH!

Something caught our eye in ‘Bargain&Madness’ (apparently they come hand in hand).

What food is it?

So after the late meeting I popped into IKEA. Leona, Sam, James, Laura, Charlotte and even Mr Ilja Russchen was there. Brilliant. Nice to see all of them I suppose!

I then headed down to the Pheasant to meet Chris and Jamie. They were busy watching the 7-1 Manchester United Match and playing the lengthy Football Manager game. Delightful.

Anyway. May I just say a big thanks to Brian, Dave, Mat, Tom and his helpers for making the Trivium show filming happen. And thanks to the band and Justin Arcangel for authorising it, and to Martin for providing the link.

- Charlie.
