Notes from a Tour Manager.

Miss Leona Wilson

Wow. Three Years. How fast has that gone? In case you don’t know what I’m on about’…University has come to an end, well all the official part of it. I’m still doing stuff in conjunction with it for a few weeks but my life as a student is basically done!

It’s gone so fast and I must say I’ve had a great time and my course was brilliant. But, on to new things now!

My near-to-last weekend at IKEA was OK too. Not too busy but busy enough to not be boring. I need to get a few hours in the new store car before I leave anyway. It’s some Honda Civic hybrid thing, so it probably runs on cucumbers or something.

On Saturday evening I popped into Batley to wish Laura a Happy Birthday even though it was two days previous, I even bought her and her friend’s a bottle of wine – how nice am I? I also had a chat with Gill!

Sunday evening saw Leona and I ‘working’ in the rain. Basically, I was helping her with her photography coursework and it just happened to be raining too! Nice… It was nice however, to see Miss Leona Wilson.

Today I started editing the Trivium footage I shot at St George’s Hall in Bradford. I also formed a production company…not officially though.

Oh and listen to the Madina Lake album, its pretty awesome!

PS – Happy Birthday Marianne.
PPS – Just seen ‘28 Weeks Later’ – pretty good!

Missioned

Well, Broadband Lives – the documentary I have been working for my final year at University if finally done! Gemma and I ‘missioned’ and ‘annihilated’ the whole film till 3am!

But its done. We just have to work out how to successfully put it on a DVD now!

It’ll have it online soon. Don’t worry.

Give It A Name

These are the invites I created for Amanda and Laura who are eighteen pretty soon. I can’t go as I’m seeing Muse on that night at Wembley Arena but I’ll be there in spirit.

Anyway, I’ve been rather busy recently. Mainly editing ‘BroadbandLives‘ – The site’s now live too.

Be sure to check out:

  • Town Joolz – The other doco on my course (great site).
  • The Distance Between – The only drama (brilliant site.
  • —-

Remember that doco I helped to make about Bradford Music industry? Well..its being shown on the BBC Big Screen in Bradford, cool eh? I don’t know exactly when its on but I walked past and it was on. If I get dates I’ll post them on here.

Me, Chris and Jamie went to the Pheasant and the Coopers Arms last night, that was pretty fun. Strongbow Extra Cold isn’t as cold as I thought it would be. Then we went to Tesco…

Anyway, better get back to my Madina Lake pre-production. I’m their TM/Driver for their UK tour. See us as ‘Give it A Name’ London/Birmingham, Cardiff/Nottingham (with the Used).
