For all those that read yesterdays post you will have known about my upcoming appearance on the Uni’s radio station: RamAir. I was basically Lucy’s replacement for the day as she was going to see the album chart show. However, Dave did call her a few times and she gave us a very concise traffic report on the current state of the M1.
So yeah, I had a great time on the show. Thanks for asking me to do it Dave! We played a variety of songs, the full playlist is:
Britney Spears – Toxic
The Kooks – Naive
Gerry Raferty – Baker Street
Ocean Colour Scene – The Riverboat Song
Muse – Supermassive Black Hole
Signur Ros – H….(BBC’s Planet Earth Theme)
Corrine Bailey Rae – Put Your Record’s On
Catatonia – Mulder & Scully
Saves The Day – Jesse & My Wetstone
Orson – No Tomorrow
Coheed & Cambria – A Favor House Atlantic
Funeral For A Friend – Rookie Of The Year
July Rising – Whats A Lie Between Friends?
Auf Der Maur – Real A Lie
Madonna – Hung Up
The Cardigans – I Need Some Fine Wine And You Need To Be Nicer
Daft Punk – Aerodynamic
Graham Coxon – Standing On My Own Again
Boston – More Than A Feeling
Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
A nice assortment I think you’ll agree!
Charlie.
PS – A podcast of the show will be online very soon, with most of the music taken out (of course), due to RamAir/Music © Issues.
Podcast Now Available – Its 50mb, Sorry!

I try to avoid Imran at all costs. He even ended up coming to the same university as me and that’s hard enough. I try and make sure I don’t see him that often but, once again (no 348694) my efforts were thwarted and Imran was stood in the lobby of the cinemas, damn! What made it worse…he was seeing the same film as Jamie and I, Slither which turned out to be a just the right amount of action/sci-fi/comedy, it was basically a re-worked version of the Duchovny masterpiece, Evolution
Just so you know, it was nice to see Imran spontaneously, as it always IS. Thing is, he’ll think he’s famous after reading this!
On to University news – after several nice, friendly words were exchanged between myself and Dan I am now properly credited along with Mr Richard Bolan on our drama. “Studio Director: Charles W. Brown”, sounds cool doesn’t it?
Jamie and I got back to bowling today, we weren’t THAT good, but after practice we’ll make the British Olympic team.
Back to media-orientated stuff. Jamie and I have just finished watching Flighplan, a brilliant film he purchased me for my 20th, and I believe he enjoyed it too however, and I quote “not enough sean bean action though” but I await his usual blog comment. Oh, I have also finally bought Shaun Of The Dead – a film so great it needed to grace my dvd collection.
And finally, be sure to listen to the University of Bradford’s radio station, RamAir, tomorrow where I’ll be Dave’s guest of honour or something like that on “Lucy and Dave’s Super Morning Show” due to Lucy’s absence. Listen to it here. (open it in Winamp)
Charlie.
PS – Oh and don’t forget to read Dan Grant’s new blog!

I’m once again in the edit suite at the NMPFT after a audious day capturing and digitizing/digitising footage we have shot during our time on the course. It takes quite a while and does get boring after a bit, but when there are a few of you it can be a bit of a laugh.
In other news my friend Imran Laher had his first radio show at Ram Air which is the University of Bradford’s radio station. My review is that he did pretty well to say it was his maiden show, and I heard from a friend that he played Muse’s Hysteria which automatically makes it a good show. The rest was pretty cool music and I was watching him on the webcam (Yes, I did screenshot it) and I didn’t get bored – all I can really say is communicate more! It’ll be a winner.
Secondly, two videos I edited now appear on July Rising’s video section, and they are pretty cool – you may need DivX to play them though which you can get from DivX.com
And finally, I have just uploaded some more very funny Blue Screen Antics – With Dave Houlbrooke which you can view here.
That is all.
Charlie.
