Notes from a Tour Manager.

Laura Newey

Happy 18th Birthday Laura, hope you have a great day and all that stuff…

Bombard her MySpace with comments.

Anyway, I’ve just uploaded a few, quite poor images that I took whilst on the Madina Lake tour.

Check them out here.

Raines.

After eighteen-or-so hours at IKEA i’m pretty much knackered. I think I’m gonna’ chill out tonight and watch ‘Raines.’ Anyone seen it? It’s pretty good.

It has Geoff Goldblum in the lead role as a cop who can see dead people. Well, its actually his brain that projects the image of the victim. The victim then helps him solve the crime. What they know, he already knows.

Friday.

Laura came over and insisted on playing the world’s most fastest and probably annoying game; Sonic The Hedgehog. No, not the cool one of the Sega Mega Drive, the brand-spanking new one for the XBOX360, its ridiculously hard. ‘Dead or Alive 3′ is also pretty hard. Let’s just say I might have got rather angry with them, switched off the console remotely and stormed off upstairs. I’m cool like that.

Later on….I picked up Jamie. We were going to Chris’ to watch the Leeds United game – they won which was cool. After the game we went to Robert Carter’s surprise 21st. It was at Morley Rugby Club. Jamie and I got him a selection of presents:

  • A bottle of Jack Daniels
  • A copy of ‘Casino Royale’ on DVD.
  • A copy of ‘Nuts’
  • A copy of Kerrang!
  • …and the 3 ‘Computers For School’ vouchers we received in the purchase. It was in a pretty nice bag too.

Oh and some of my friends from IKEA have done a spot of modelling. Click here for the pics. (you need to be logged into MySpace).

It Even Featured Brand New Family Guy.

How good was Top Gear? Exceedingly good.

Anyway. On Sunday I nearly accomplished the task of watching every X-Files episode. Not in one go, obviously… the ninth and final season to be exact.

Monday was a regular day at University. Our task for ‘Computers and Music’ this week was to bring a music track to play to the class… so Uni’s version of show and tell. I brought in ‘Muse – Knights of Cydonia’. It’s pretty obvious I was gonna’ choose Muse but it is a fantastically-produced track as are all the Muse tracks I suppose.

Both Miss Newey and Mr Roberts came over on Monday evening. Laura was here to edit some work of hers (on a piece of software she doesn’t own, therefore has to do it here) and Jamie was here to deface my whiteboard basically: (excuse the phone-quality image)

Some of Laura’s work is there too…

It turned out to be a rather entertaining night. It even featured brand new ‘Family Guy’ and ‘American Dad’. However, my famous Rat which was featured in the ‘Postmodern‘ video was stolen by Laura. Not cool.

So who’s this? Which ‘boy’ would wear such a girlie top and pink, netted gloves? If you had Facebook you’d know…

Today Mr Cooke and I ventured into the ex-Gun capital of the UK. Nottingham of course! We travelled to Robin Hood world to meet one of our documentary contributors; Miss Maria Lindley and her partner, John. The recce went very well and filming is booked and confirmed for Thursday and Friday of this week!
