Notes from a Tour Manager.

Mission

On Thursday Jamie, Chris, Laura, Becki, Amanda and I went to the Musical pub quiz at the ‘Shoulder of Mutton’ in Gomersal. It wasn’t too bad. Some of the questions were pretty hard. Laura was actually pretty good at it – she must have been revising.

After the quiz we taxi’d it down to the Frontier which was, once again rather dead. It was a Thursday night though. Anyway, after a few hours in there we were asked to leave – because it was closing time. Anyway, the rest of the crew had planned to go to ‘Mission’ in Leeds. I didn’t want to as I was filming the next day (Friday). However, when it got to Birstall everyone decided they didn’t want to go to Leeds either so they all got out.

Jamie, Chris and I then proceeded to walk Laura and Amanda back home. Bearing in mind they chose the longest way to walk home ever. They might have well have gone via London.

Overall everyone got home and that was that. Good night though, rather funny.

Yesterday was another filming day for the documentary. After being dropped off in Bradford I went and met up with all the team members to go collect the kit. We were filming a girl called Jemma from the University. She seemed really clever and was studying cybernetics I believe which is rather interesting. To cut a long story short she came out with some really good stuff which should be beneficial to the film.

On the way back from Bradford on the bus I stopped off at Laura to get the latest Newey News, there wasn’t that much.

Later on in the evening Jamie and Imran came over. We also had a special guest appearance from Miss Leona Wilson who I hadn’t seen in a while. We mainly watched ‘South Park’ – the amazing World of Warcraft episode to be precise; Jamie, Imran and Leona hadn’t seen it.

Another pretty good night.

Well, work today. The other Newey is coming round in a bit. Charlotte. Something about some Photoshop tips. Who knows?

In The Loop.

So, last night was Kirsty’s house-warming party. I didn’t go in 80s attire as informed but her house is now adequately warm.

I’m in the process of pitching documentary ideas to the BBC and Channel Four, I’ll keep you in the loop.

They Played Supermassive

Stevo, Graeme and I were in the ‘Old Hall’ pub for about three hours yesterday. It has a ‘no music’ policy which makes the Music quiz extremely hard I’m told.

Last night Jamie and I went to Leeds. It was two guys from work’s birthday (is that grammatically correct?). Stevo and Graeme. There were loads of other IKEAn’s out too; Leona, Laura, Amanda, Charlotte, Nab and a new guy called, Ali.

It was an OK night overall. It was nice to see Leona as I hadn’t seen her for a while.

We witnessed a couple of fights and a homeless person asked me, not Jamie if he could “borrow £100″ but apparently he was “only messin’”…”I’m depressed”… he stated. Fair enough.

So yeah. Jamie and I went to Revolution, FAB, Bar Censa and finished the night in Star where I haven’t been since I badly hurt my leg – I just searched for that in my blog archive but I couldn’t find it. Star is still pretty cool. They played ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ so thats ok.

Tonight is Kirsty’s house-warming. She’s moved into a new place in Roundhay, Leeds and she is hosting an 80s theme party. However, I’m not going to conform and dress like I’m in 2007.

Done.

You don’t have to put on the red light,
Charlie.
