Charles W. Brown

Notes from a Tour Manager.

Whatsoever Religious

Back from Japan. It was great.. 3rd time there too.
Met some new friends and saw some old ones. Its a fabulous place. When you work it out.. a week there is probably the same price as two weeks in Greece/Spain, so I really recommend a visit!

Tomorrow is my Grandad’s funeral. It will be the first one I have been to, so I really don’t know what to expect. Its a ‘humanist’ service, celebrating his life rather than grieving his death, which I think is good. A formal Christian funeral would be very odd since nobody in my family is whatsoever religious.

Derek Brown, 76 was a good man, very respectful, had a sense of humour like Bernard Manning, was very well travelled, owned more cars than anybody I knew and loved cats. He will be greatly missed.

Rest in Peace.

45,759 Doses Of Local Anesthetic

I’ve just been to see ‘Blood Diamond’ with Laura. To be honest it was a pretty good film and Mr DiCaprio was brilliant in it. It was also excellently produced – I wouldn’t mind having some camera shots like this film had in my documentary.

Previous to tonights events I had been to:

  • The dentist where I had about 45,759 doses of local anesthetic as I have exceedingly sensitive teeth apparently but it was worth it.
  • Picked up the large amount of surveillence video equipment from University to take to Nottingham tomorrow. It’s our team’s first shoot so wish us luck.
  • Loaded Madina Lake’s tour van with all their equipment for their support slot on the ‘Gym Class Heroes’ Tour.
  • Thrilling.

    Eerie Indiana

Woolworths. Remember it? The store that was great in the early 90’s? Is there any need for it? To be honest I don’t think so. I can get everything it sells elsewhere and a lot cheaper. The BBC also thinks it might have had it’s day.

Today Leona, Chris and myself went to Leeds. We met Laura there too. Apparently she didn’t think too much of the test but I think she’s being modest. I’ll await the results in May.

We also met up with Jenni and Oliver. Apart from me not feeling very well I quite enjoyed my outing to the city. I even purchased the whole series of ‘Eerie Indiana’ on DVD for just over £10. Brilliant. Oh and Laura bought me a trendy ‘VIP Lounge’ door mat for my bedroom. It looks really cool. So yeah, VIP’s only. Sorry Chris.

The weather on the way back to the car in Leeds was atrocious. It was the windy-ist wind and the rainy-ist rain I’ve ever encountered. I had to weight Laura down so she didn’t blow away. Unfortunately she did and she now lives somewhere in Northern Scotland.

    Charlie.
