Whats Stopping You…

I agree with Jon Snow, here. You are kind-of forced to wear a poppy in the month of November. You don’t have to of course, nobody has to. Yet everyone, and I mean everyone wears one, especially on TV. In a way it is propaganda, not in the negative sense but it is forcing you to remember the dead throughout the month of Novemeber.

The people of the World Wars obviously did a lot for us and for that I thank them. My grandfather was one of those. He however, didn’t die. He died back in October 2003, at 99 years old, three days before his 100th birthday. His job was to deliver food to people throughout the UK by train, the famous Flying Scotsman to be exact and at 99 nobody can say he didn’t live a full and exceptionally long life. So I, personally will be remembering Mr Alfred Rowsby.

You don’t have to wear a poppy in November but whats stopping you remembering the people who fell everyday of the year?

Charlie.

Arm Pit

Hello World.

Quite a lot of things have happened since my last post; I turned 21, I discovered a fantastic feature in the video editor ‘Avid’, the Trivium video I produced a month back has now reached ‘Rough Cut’ status, I bought a laptop, I had a Chinese with Cradle of Filth guitarist; Paul Allender and I was hired by a production company to film the ‘Institute of Directors’ inaugural conference in York.

So yeah, I’m now 21. Nothing’s changed really just that I can hire a car now. Which I will be doing incidentally, for Muse at Wembley.

The Avid feature I discovered was the skill to successfully view four synchronised camera angles at once and to edit them at the same time, pretty much the same way live TV is edited. That made the editing of the Trivium video 1000% faster. Which is great.

Well, I didn’t buy a laptop my parents were nice enough to get me one for my 21st. Let’s just say its good enough to edit HD video on. Incidentally I gave Mr Harwood his HP laptop back (thank you very much for that) which has been exceedingly useful both at home and on the road.

Yes, I Chinese with Paul Allender from ‘Cradle of Filth’ well… Mr Martin Lamb and I went around the UK (I’m actually in the van now driving back on the A1) to Laney, Marshall Amplification, The Astoria etc – just doing music deals and stuff. London was warm I’ll just say that. But yeah, he was a nice guy. It was a restaurant in Colchester.

The production company in question ‘Shoot Productions’ hired me through the University. It was a good day, quite an interesting conference too. That was yesterday, in York. Afterwards I went to Hardwood’s house to return his laptop and see the family. Jane and I watched some ‘extreme’ videos on www.ebaumsworld.com – a guy breaking his hand and a guy with the biggest, weeping zit/spot ever….in his arm pit. Nice.

Best,
- Charlie.

Fantastic Presents.

I’m still heavily busy with editing the Trivium stuff. It’s looking great by the way.

I’ll be shipping a version off to RoadRunner next week.

It was the EIMC degree show on Friday. Broadband Lives was shown..how fun!

And last night Jamie, Imran, Zoë, Matt and Chris came over. They bought me some fantastic presents. How nice of them!

The 3rd season of the US version of The Office also came to a close today, it was brilliant. Download it.
