It’s Much Funnier Scaring Girls

Sunday night was pretty funny. It basically involved me laughing at Laura for literally jumping from the sofa in fright at ‘The Omen’ – to be fair there are some pretty jumpy parts in there and Jamie and I may also have jumped when we watched it in the cinema, but its much funnier scaring girls, isn’t it?

Anyway, we Laura also played on the new Tomb Raider which I had recently bought. I might have said in a previous post that its a remake of the first – it’s really good I must admit, that scares her too, haha.

Yesterday was cool….I had a mini Trivium Video Crew meeting at Uni and then I saw Leona! We went to Tesco in Brighouse mainly so I could drive through the Ford (river that goes over a road) near the store, that also scares Leona – I think she believes we could be stranded in the 1 inch water..actually, it is a Micra so that is a possibility I suppose so.

Incidentally, I have just seen Leona at IKEA. And Laura, and Charlotte and Stevo! – I was going up there to pick up my DVCamera but Stevo forgot that. Grrr.

Oh and today I also loaded a tour bus, fun. And yesterday Jamie and I went for a nice BBQ at Kirsty’s….. good coleslaw! (that’ll make Chris jealous ;) ) and then we ventured to the cinema to see ‘Wedding Daze’. Pretty funny and Isla Fisher is da bomb.

World’s Most Amazing Videos.

I’ve been giving Laura a hand with her media again. This time with the rather complicated film ‘Donnie Darko’ to be fair it took me a few views to get my head around it, but I think I have now.

I also bought the new Tomb Raider game, the box looks good but I don’t really know what the game is like since Laura won’t actually let me have a go stating ‘you wouldn’t be able to do it anyway!’ and since hitting girls isn’t the coolest thing around I decided that she had won that battle and continued to watch the ‘World’s Most Amazing Videos’ on Bravo. Nice.

Download Festival this friday, should be good,

Sony… You’re Late.

Well editing is finally on the go at University as I sorted out Avid settings and my University-supplied Windows login account. So that’s good news.

On Thursday evening Chris, Jamie and I went to see ‘300′ that new Spartan War epic. It was pretty good. It was annoying that we were pretty much sat at the front but the visuals were absolutely stunning and it wasn’t too long either – just under two hours – so becoming bored would be hard. Jamie and Chris enjoyed it though, and that’s all that matters.

I went over to see how ‘Area 51′ is doing. ‘Area 51′ is Martin Lamb’s (the tour manager) new store. He bought it with the intention of renovating it. Well, that’s nearly done we’re just awaiting delivery of the Heli-pad and runway now.

We’re just trying to sort out the backline for ‘Madina Lake’, ‘Taking Back Sunday’ and ‘Aiden’. Martin can’t physically do much with that though as he’ll be managing the Europe-wide ‘Trivium’ tour. So I’m doing some of that.

Later in the evening Leona came over and I showed her how bad she is on Project Gotham Racing. She couldn’t even handle a TVR Cerbera Speed 12, pfff.

Sony You’re… Late!

Apparently the HD gaming world was hit in the face yesterday. The Playstation3 is finally out but I don’t think anyone really cares. To boost the media hype Sony gave free 46inch HD TV’s to everyone who pre ordered and queued at the Virgin store in London. However, Microsoft then gave all the queuers a Microsoft XBOX 360 deck chair (stamped with the website address) for people to sit on.

In Berlin Sony gave a free PS3 to anyone who smashed up their XBOX360 for the cameras. Sony also moored a boat near the Eiffel Tower in France. Microsoft then hired a boat, complete with XBOX Logos and sailed them up and down the Seine. All the logos featured the cheeky message ‘Sony…. You’re late’ which I think is pretty much true.

There are no stock shortages in the UK so there’s no need to rush but at £424 for the console alone who’s going to buy it?

However, the consoles I’m told are ‘pretty awesome’. Mr Jordan Salari (my friend from Batley High) said that. I’m sure they are pretty good but without a HD TV I wouldn’t bother. Luckily he has one.
