Yesterday was a pretty good day.
Gemma, Andy and myself travelled down to Nottingham to meet (once again) Maria Lindley – one of our documentary contributors. We were there mainly to get the sequence we tried to get last time, but didn’t.
Anyway, we got all of our intended shots, which was good.
On the way back from Nottingham I stopped off at IKEA (the one in Leeds not Nottingham) to get some pear cider. Alas, they were out of stock but at least I got to see Miss Sam Holland, Miss Leona Wilson and Miss Laura Newey (in that order), oh and Stuart too
.

On Monday our house was blessed with a new TV. Its a High Def one so its pretty good. We had to get a new one as the tube went in the old one. I even purchased a HDMI DVD player which up-scales normal DVD’s to HD, pretty good. Family Guy looks good in HD.

Gordon Brown announces the budget today. I wonder if he’ll inject some much needed cash into the NHS?

I ended up visiting Stevo on Tuesday. It was his 24th birthday so Happy Birthday to him! Everyone there was from IKEA so there were many MFI jokes flying around.
Previous to that I had been at Laura’s arguing discussing the environment and recycling, with her Dad, Wayne. It was all constructive but I think he needs to address Kirklees council and not me! I think he slightly ‘The Importance of Recycling’ however.

Yesterday I went on a pretty epic journey.
Firstly, to Bradford to take my Grandma’s dog, Rosie to the vet. I then came back to Birstall to pick up Matt’s faulty amp. I then headed down to Birmingham to Laney’s HQ which was a pretty swanky building.
From there I travelled down to London to pick up a Mesa Boogie pre-amp. I had set off at 12 so it was nearing 6 at this point. The place I was going was very near to Heathrow so there were loads of low-flying Jumbo jets. I assume I was near the airport anyway, it could just have been a few pilots showing off their skills.
“Woah woah woah, check me out”
The longest trek was the one on the M25 then on to the M1 for 200m. It was exceedingly windy and horrendously rainy at some points but my wipers weren’t squeaking so I wasn’t bothered.
I got back to Dewsbury to meet Chris and Jamie at roughly 2230 after a fuel stop.
450m in a Micra. Exhilarating.
Charlie.
PS – On the way down I tried Burger King’s version of the ‘McFlurry’. I had Strawberry Cheesecake flavour and it was lovely.

On Sunday evening Zoë, Jamie and I went to see ‘School for Scoundrels’. I actually thought it was a pretty good film, it wasn’t the best but it was watchable anyway.

Yesterday I went for a mini drive to Little Stainforth, nr Settle in the Yorkshire Dales (to take advantage of the great driving weather). I then headed back to Bradford for another documentary meeting.
Editing has been halted this week though as our suites are being upgraded. Brilliant timing.
Yesterday was also Mr Graeme Winn’s 20th Birthday (a fellow IKEA-worker), so Happy Birthday to him.

Today I’m either off to Birmingham and London with Elite Logistics or I’m visiting Stevo from work, as it is his birthday today. His 24th to be exact so Happy Birthday to him.
Charlie.
